Indispensable Maps of France

Even if you have a smart phone to navigate while driving, purchasing a traditional Michelin Map (affiliate link) of the area you plan to vacation helps in planning the trip. I find a larger map helps me see the “big picture” of my journey. It’s also not a bad idea to have a back up plan in case you are in a poor reception area for your phone!

I also have a page dedicated to Map Apps that are offline. These include a metro route planner for Paris as well as an app from the RATP in Paris. I particularly like the maps app that allows you to download specific towns for use offline.
