Traveling Infant- Ideas for a Smooth Flight
How to enjoy a vacation when traveling with an infant! One of my readers was so kind as to not only share some of her family vacation memories with me but she also shared her ideas for her traveling infant.
Brilliant! She has some great ideas that are so thoughtful and practical.
Traveling Infant – What’s in Mom’s Carry-on
Here is a picture that R.E. took of her carry-on items:
For the most part it all looks like what you might typically find in a diaper bag.
BUT…..Take a close look at all those little bags that say “Thanks so Very Much” and just above them, the bags that looks gold in color.
Endearing Your Traveling Infant to Fellow Passengers
We’ve all sat beside, in front of, or behind and cranky baby but do you know why that precious bundle is so fussy? The change in air pressure is painful to their little ears! They are upset, their mom is upset because no mom wants their child to hurt and finally mom is super worried that all the crying will bother other passengers.
Here’s what R.E. did to help introduce her fellow travelers to her sweet little traveling infant , showing that she was aware there may be times of fussiness when traveling with an infant.
In turn, she was asking for their understanding in advance. Don’t you just want to hug a mom who is this thoughtful?
Dear fellow passengers,
I am young, just five months old and this I my first flight.
My parents hope that I’ll sit still and I will act just right.
I may get scared from all the noise , I might be a bit loud.
I hope my ears won’t hurt when we go way up in the clouds.
I may get wiggly when the plane gets jiggly.
But I will try my best.
Ear plugs we did share
Because we care and want your flight to be the best.
Enjoy the treat, it’s nice and sweet. A gift for you from me!
The sweet poem, two hard candies and ear plugs were in the little bag!
Endearing Your Traveling Infant to the Flight Attendants
Flight attendants perform many small tasks that are so very helpful to families traveling with an infant or small child. I’ve seen them take a fussy baby and walk the aisle so mom and dad can have a few seconds of respite.
Warming bottles and baby food just begins the list of services that could go on! R.E. prepared a little thank you gift for each of the flight attendants – just a simple thank you very much along with a bag of gummy bears.
If you enjoyed R.E.’s ideas for traveling with an infant, why not take look at their lovely family vacation in France .
